About This Special Issue
Occupational health and Safety; It refers to the systematic and scientific studies carried out to protect against conditions that may harm health for various reasons during the execution of work in workplaces. A workplace accident occurs almost every minute in the world. According to statistics, unfortunately, many employees lose their lives. Economic losses resulting from work accidents and occupational diseases are quite high. In addition, material damages, workday losses and compensations also impose an additional burden on the economy. In addition, work accidents affect not only the employee but also his family and dependents, and tens of thousands of people suffer material and moral damage every year. This situation threatens man's most fundamental right, the right to life. The aim of those working in the field of Occupational Health and Safety is to completely eliminate risks in the workplace or minimize damages, to protect and improve the physical, mental and medical health of employees, to protect employees from the negative effects of working conditions, to detect and treat health hazards and occupational diseases, to prevent work accidents. or to detect and treat occupational diseases. To ensure that employees injured as a result of occupational diseases work in appropriate jobs and to provide a safer working environment by taking the necessary protective measures.
I would like to thank all our authors who contributed to this special issue, which I believe will be a good resource on its subject. Our aim is to raise awareness in this field by keeping working environments free of dangers and risks.
